INVESTMENT PRIORITIES PLAN 2017: BOI FINALISES POLICIES AND GUIDELINES FOR PREFFERRED INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES

The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) is now finalizing the general policies and specific guidelines of the 2017 Investments Priorities Plan (IPP) following the approval by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of the plan on 28 February 2017. The IPP, approved through Memorandum Order No. 12, was published in Manila Bulletin and will take effect on March 18, 2017.

The IPP was approved as proposed by the BOI. The submission to the Office of the President on December 29, 2016, three months ahead of the March 31 deadline under the Omnibus Investments Code of 1987, and the subsequent approval of the new IPP is a milestone for the agency. (more…)

The Philippine exhibition for AMBIENTE 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany promises to be a strong and intriguing show. Presented by Center for International Trade Expositions and Mission (CITEM) through its industry brand, Lifestyle Philippines, the Philippine Pavilion in AMBIENTE pays homage to the unseen hands that have heroically preserved the country’s artisanal traditions despite the threats of modernity, competition and global disruptions.

14 companies from 7 regions around the country will take part in this poignant paean. In splendid collections for home interiors and decor, the participants exploit a wide range of materials such as hard wood, shell, plant fibers, carabao horn, bone and metals, as well as diverse techniques to illuminate the Filipino artisan’s virtuosity. BCCP Trade Mission to the PH 2016

The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) organised a trade mission to the Philippines for British companies, which was held from 18 to 20 October 2016.

The mission’s aim was to help UK companies – especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and individual entrepreneurs – to explore potentials for business in the Philippines.

A number of companies came to the Philippines to explore business opportunities and meet relevant contacts. The participants came from the aerospace, energy, food and drink, skincare, furniture, ICT,  and tech industries. (more…)

Risa Chocolate makes its sweet debut in London

London, United Kingdom – Philippine chocolate brand Risa Chocolate joined the The Chocolate Show London on 14-16 October 2016 held at Olympia National Hall in Kensington. For the first time in the recent years, a Philippine SME has participated in a chocolate trade show in London. Risa Chocolate is also the only Philippine exhibitor to participate in the show this year.

The exhibition is recognized as United Kingdom’s biggest celebration of everything chocolate, which is joined by popular fine chocolate British brands like Hotel Chocolat, Rococo Chocolates and Paul A Young, to name a few. (more…)
