Philippine Ambassador to the UK Evan Garcia was also a guest at the event. He said that it is one of his pleasant duties to promote the culture and traditions of our homeland. He said: “We are deeply indebted to Ann for taking the trouble to come here to the United Kingdom in order to share her beautiful creations with us.”

“Although there is almost a quarter of a million Filipinos and of British-Filipino descent in this country, we still do need to make our British friends have a better appreciation of Filipino arts and culture. It’s not just economics, it’s not just politics, it’s also arts and culture that brings us together,” Ambassador Garcia added.
